The DansEncorps School is a dance training school where having fun while expressing oneself is a priority. The bodily movements respect the individual’s harmonious development and the dance techniques taught are recognized by the important educational organizations.

Founded in 1979, DansEncorps is one of the most important dance centers in Atlantic Canada. Renowned for its style diversity, the DansEncorps School offers a program focused on modernity, teaching styles and techniques of ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop and many more of today’s popular dance styles. The school can be found in the magnificent Aberdeen Cultural Center, neighbour to an art gallery, a daycare, artists’ workshops, cultural and artistic organizations, and a café.

Excellence is the norm at DansEncorps and the school has proven it many times. Critics rave about our shows, whether at the local, national or international level. Our Young Company has performed all over New Brunswick and Canada, as well as in France, Finland, Brazil, Holland, Jamaica, and Taiwan as part of the Dance and the Child International. We maintain strong relationships with reputable institutions such as L’École de Danse de Québec, which enables us to offer many advantages to our students; opening doors to some of Canada’s best dance schools. Many of our former students have been accepted in schools like the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, l’École de danse contemporaine de Montréal, Joe Tremaine Dance, Les Grands ballets Canadiens, L’Université du Québec à Montréal, the Toronto Dance Theatre, Decidedly Jazz Danceworks and many more.

The school accepts students as early as three years old and offers classes from beginner to advanced levels. One of our main focuses at DansEncorps is the quality of education, which is why we keep the number of students per class to a minimum, grouping them together according to their age and level. By doing so, we allow all of our students to get the most out of the lessons.
